Our Teacher

Angela Ziel brings more than 29 years of teaching experience and 17 years of working with horses to LEARN Aiken. A retired educator, she taught in both public and Christian schools in Nevada and South Carolina.

Angela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Master of Arts in Education from Prescott College, with an emphasis in Equine-Assisted Learning.

Her passion is simple: helping children learn through the unique connection between children and horses. After discovering equine-assisted learning and the Horse Powered Reading Program®, Angela found a way to combine her love of teaching, children, and horses.

Today, she brings that vision to life at LEARN Aiken, creating a fun, hands-on, Christ-centered learning environment where children can build literacy skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
